Moulding Clear Latex (Like inside a calculator)

Postby drakeshe on Mon Aug 17, 2009 2:58 pm

Hi,
I am currently working on a project and I need to create a latexy type material like you would find inside a calculator or computer keyboard.

Would anyone be able to link me or provide any help on where I can buy the materials, what type they are, and how to mix it and let it sit. I can very easily create moulds so that is no problem.

Thank you!

Hi,
I have never seen the inside of a calculator. Do you want a sheet of latex to reduce vibration. If so pour the latex on a sheet of glass and let the water evaporate. You can get the same effect with other rubbers. Maybe a bit more info would help. Stan.

The rubber I'm refering to is what the keys on the keypad are made of. The rubber is very commonly used for POS machines and anything else that has rubber keys.
