Where do I start?

Postby dave » Wed Feb 22, 2012 4:58 pm

G'day Folks,

Just looking for some advice.

I would like to mold part of my kayak, to make a flat dash type of thing.

Not sure what I need to start though, the kayak is made from plastic / poly.

I've attached a pic of the area I want to mold, so what do you think folks? What do I need?

Hey Dave,

You probably should contact some prototype makers of vacuum formed plastic parts locally to check the possibility of making the plastic part you intend to install on your kayak. The vacuum formed plastic part can be sprayed into the color that matches your kayak easily. You should check with the vacuum formers who are focused on making plastic parts out of thick plastic sheets.

Hope my input helps!
