I wish to make a lifecast mold using minit mold of a tensed upper arm.

I assume that I will have to make some sort of open " half tube" for the arm to be placed in (maybe the person lying flat on the floor so the tube is on the ground), then once there arm is in place pour the minit mold into the tube and over their arm.

Have you ever done anything like this before? and any ideas how much minit mold I will need to encase an arm?

I have thinking about this problem for several days trying to remember how long the bodybuilders could maintain a tensed arm while posing as I see difficulties in your proposed method. What about trying to apply a quick setting alginate like MinitMold in a paste form to the arm and then apply the back up plaster bandage to support the flexed arm shape. Seeing you will not be able to get the mould off the arm by sliding the arm out of the mould allow a seam to be cut in the most inconspicuous place through the alginate with a blunt knife or some such so as not to cut the arm having previously not placed the bandage over this particular area. The alginate mould can then be opened up and removed from the upper arm without a problem. Get back to me if this is not the solution to your problem. Stan
